The DriveGuard S.D.™ (product code: SD-6) system is recommended for driveways under 75 feet.

It is an optional dual-probe sensing device used in the place of the single probe sensing device
normally used with the DriveGuard Basic, Integrator and Ultra systems.

The S.D. dual-probe sensor, like our other sensor, is buried beside and near the end of the driveway,
hidden and vandal-proof. It only detects moving steel, eliminating false alarms caused by animals
or blowing objects. It is distinctive from our other sensor probe because it can be as close as
10 to 15 feet to outside cross traffic at the end of the driveway, making it suitable for short driveways.

Because of its sensitivity, our normal sensing device (called CT-6 sensor probe) must be placed at least
35 feet back from residential traffic (going 35 MPH or less) and 50 feet back from highway traffic (above
35 MPH).

The S.D. sensing device is composed of two probes connected by direct burial cable, buried 2.5 feet apart
(see graphic below). A vehicle is not detected until it enters the driveway.S.D. Overhead Driveway

Use the DriveGuard S.D.™ with either the DriveGuard Basic™, DriveGuard Integrator™ or DriveGuard
Ultra™ when vehicle detection is desired on driveways less than 75 feet.
