Wireless With Linear

Wireless With Linear

Cartell and Linear partner to offer a remote vehicle detection system. Except for a small amount of direct burial cable attached to a sensor probe, you can easily have a wireless solution.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

1. Cartell CP-1TT-12V system (includes sensor probe and small output board)
2. Cartell CF-2C or CT-2B control unit; or CT-8 annunciator
3. Linear XT-1 Transmitter with Linear ANT-2 Antenna
4. Linear XR-1 Receiver with Linear ANT-1 Antenna
5. 12 Volt battery to power the CP-1 output board. Solar panel may also be considered (7 AMP/hour) to charge battery
6. A second 12 Volt battery in the home (can use Linear’s T-124.8DC power supply)
7. Weatherproof plastic box
8. 500 – 1000 Ω, 1/4 watt resistor

INSTRUCTIONS – SENSOR PROBE, OUTPUT BOARD, BATTERY AND TRANSMITTER

See Figure 1.Linear 1

Install the CP-1 probe beside a 12 foot wide driveway

See Figure 1.

Install the following in a weatherprooLinear 2f box:

  • CP-1 output board
  • 12 volt battery
  • Linear XT-1 Transmitter with Linear ANT-2 Antenna

See Figure 2.

Hook the CP-1 probe, 12 volt battery and Linear XT-1 Transmitter to CP-1 output board as seen in Figure 2.

INSTRUCTIONS – INTEGRATING DIRECTLY WITH AA-1 AUDIBLE DEVICE

See Figure 3.

Linear 31. Install a Linear XR-1 Receiver with a Linear ANT-1 Antenna in the home.
2. Install a 12 volt D.C. power source near the Receiver.
3. Connect positive power to Common contact of Receiver.
4. Connect negative power to annunciator’s GND (Ground) terminal.
5. Connect Receiver’s Normally Open contact to annunciator’s SON (Sonalert) terminal.

INSTRUCTIONS – INTEGRATING WITH CF-2C OR CT-2B CONTROL UNITS

See Figure 4.

Linear 41. Install a Linear XR-1 Receiver with a Linear ANT-1 Antenna in the home.
2. Install either a CT-2B (sound only) or CF-2C (sound and lights) control unit in the home near the Receiver.
3. Connect 12 volt D.C. power source to the Receiver (suggested Linear power supply is T-124.8DC, wall mounted).
4. Connect Receiver’s N.O. contact to terminal #10 on CT-2B or terminal #17 on CF-2C.
5. Connect Receiver’s Common contact to terminal #12 on CT-2B or terminal #19 on CF-2C.
6. In the place of the Cartell sensor probe, place a 500 -1000 ohm 1/4 watt resistor across terminals #10 & #12 on the CT-2B or across terminals #17 & #19 on the CF-2C.
